I am sure we are probably wondering why there is so much cold around this particular time of the year when we are supposed to be experiencing hot climatic weather or summer if your country goes through four seasons and not two.
In its most simplest way of understanding, let's take it this way. Well, the earths orbital path changes from being almost circular to elliptical (eccentricity) approximately every 100,000 years due to gravitational effect of other planet bodies especially the Moon.
Indicating that the change in climatic weather will not be the same and is likely to change after some years.currently, the world is experiencing "APHELION". Aphelion is the stage when the Earth is farther from the sun and its opposite PERIHELION (meaning the earth is closer to the sun than usual).
Due to eccentricity, time of the earth experiencing Aphelion or Perihelion defers. "In 1246,the December solstice (the time or date [twice each year] at which the sun reaches it's maximum or minimum declination, marked by the longest and shortest days.[ about 21 June and 22 December]) was the same day the earth reached it's Perihelion. Since then the perihelion and aphelion dates have drifted by a day every 58 years."
This year, Aphelion is noted to have started on Monday, 4th July and Perihelion predicted to start on January 4th, 2023 when Earth will be 91.4 million miles away from the Sun according to timeanddate.com.
Note;
Solstice (short day long night and vice versa)
Eccentricity (the Earth's orbital path not being a perfect circle)
The only planet with a perfect circle in the solar system is Venus
